Preparing the Machine for
Storage
Short-Term Storage
(Less than 30 days)
Perform the procedures that follow:
1.
Cleaning the Sprayer System (page 62)
2.
Preparing to Condition the Sprayer (page 89)
3.
Conditioning the Sprayer (page 89)
Cleaning the Exterior of the Machine
Important:
Do not use brackish or reclaimed
water to clean the machine.
1.
Park the machine on a level surface; engage
the parking brake; shut off the spray pump and
the engine; remove the key; and wait for all
movement to stop before leaving the machine.
Note:
For HD- and HDX-Series Workman
models with a manual transmission, disengage
the PTO.
2.
Clean dirt and grime from the entire machine,
including the outside of the cylinder-head fins of
the engine and blower housing.
Important:
You can wash the machine
with mild detergent and water. Do not use
high-pressure water to wash the machine.
Pressure washing may damage the electrical
system or wash away necessary grease at
friction points. Avoid excessive use of water,
especially near the control panel, lights,
engine, and the battery.
