Maintenance
Replacing the Fuel Filter
Service Interval:
Every 500 hours/Yearly (whichever comes
first) (more often in dirty or dusty
conditions).
The fuel filter is located near the engine on the front or rear
side of the engine.
1.
Disengage the PTO, move the motion control levers to
the neutral locked position, and set the parking brake.
2.
Stop the engine, remove the key, and wait for all moving
parts to stop before leaving the operating position.
3.
Allow the machine to cool down.
4.
Stop the engine, remove the key, and wait for all moving
parts to stop before leaving the operating position.
5.
Close the fuel shutoff valve under the seat (Figure 53).

Hose clamp
6.
Squeeze the ends of the hose clamps together and slide
them away from the filter (Figure 53).
7.
Remove the filter from the fuel lines.
8.
Install a new filter and move the hose clamps close to
the filter (Figure 53).
9.
Open the fuel shutoff valve.
Note:
It is important to reinstall the fuel line hoses and
secure with plastic ties the same as they were originally
installed at the factory to keep the fuel line away from
components that can cause fuel line damage.
Servicing the Fuel Tank
Do not attempt to drain the fuel tank. Ensure that an
Authorized Service Dealer drains the fuel tank and services
any components of the fuel system.
