
Servicing the Engine Oil
Service Interval:
Before each use or daily—Check the
engine-oil level.
After the first 8 hours—Change the engine oil.
Every 100 hours—Change the engine oil (more often
in dirty or dusty conditions).
Every 200 hours—Change the engine-oil filter.
Note:
There are different oil capacities for the different
models listed in this manual. Ensure that you use the correct
amount of oil.
Important:
Remember to add 80% of the oil, and then
gradually fill it to the Full mark on the dipstick.
Oil Type:
: Detergent oil (API service SF, SG, SH, SJ or SL)
Engine Oil Capacity:
2.1 L (71 oz) with the filter removed;
1.8 L (61 oz) without the filter removed
Viscosity:
Refer to the table below.

Checking the Engine-Oil Level
Note:
Check the oil when the engine is cold.
WARNING
Contact with hot surfaces may cause personal
injury.
Keep hands, feet, face, clothing and other body
parts away the muffler and other hot surfaces.
Important:
Do not run the engine with the oil level
above the Full mark or below the low mark. Otherwise,
doing so may damage the engine.

Shut off the engine, remove the key, and wait for all
moving parts to stop before leaving the operating
