Operation
Important:
Before operating the machine, check the
fuel and oil levels, and remove debris from the machine.
Preparing to Use the Machine
•
Review all of the safety decals on the machine.
•
Use a hard hat, hearing protection, tight-fitting gloves
without drawstrings or loose cuffs, and eye protection.
A mesh visor alone does not provide sufficient eye
protection; supplement with protective glasses.
•
Ensure that you are familiar with safety regulations and
the shutdown procedures described in the
Operator’s
Manual
and the
Engine Manual
.
•
Ensure that all guards are in place and in good condition.
•
Ensure that the screed board is in good condition, aligned
correctly and secured to the machine.
•
Check the fuel and oil levels of the engine.
Operator Positions
You must be familiar with three positions when using the
machine.
•
Use the operating position (Figure 13) when running the
machine to screed concrete.

Use the resting position when leaving the machine.
(Figure 14). Never leave the engine running while the
machine is in the rest position. Always set the machine
on a flat surface.
