22. Secure the support tube to the vehicle frame with 2
pins and 4 lynch pins (Figure 6).
23. Secure the spreader frame mounting tabs to the
attachment mounting brackets with 2 bolts, washers,
and nuts (Figure 6). Torque all fasteners to 75 ft-lb
(102 N-m).
24. Mount the radiator cover to the vehicle frame with 4
bolts and washers (Figure 6).
25. Mount the support channel and spreader to the
spreader frame with 4 bolts and washers (Figure 5).
Place the washers between the channel and frame.
Note:
When installing the spreader, slide the pump
side of the PTO shaft onto the pump.
26. Tighten all fasteners.
27. Lubricate the drive shaft grease fitting with general
purpose lithium base grease. Grease it after every 50
hours of operation.
28. Mount the drive shaft cover to the spreader frame
tabs with 4 washer head screws (Figure 1).
29. To store the jack stands, insert them into the top
of the mounting tubes (pad side up) and secure it
with the hitch pins (Figure 6). Insert the jack stands
into the bottom of the mounting tubes to store the
spreader on them. Make sure the ground is firm.
Note:
You may mount castor wheels to jack stands.
