3. If the oil is below the Low mark, remove the fill cap
(Figure 60) and add oil until the level reaches the Full
mark.
Do not overfill.

4. Install the oil fill cap and dipstick.
Changing the Engine Oil
Service Interval:
Every 250 hours—Change the engine
oil and filter.
1. Remove the drain plug (Figure 61) and let the oil
flow into a drain pan. When the oil stops, install the
drain plug.

2. Remove the oil filter (Figure 59). Apply a light coat
of clean oil to the new filter seal before screwing it
on.
Do not overtighten.
3. Add oil to the crankcase; refer to Checking the
Engine Oil.
Adjusting the Valve Clearance
Service Interval:
After the first 250 hours—Adjust the
valve clearance
Every 2,000 hours—Adjust the valve
clearance
Refer to the Engine Operator’s Manual, included with
the machine, for the adjusting procedure.
