Note:
Use the chart below to determine how many
chamber mounting holes you must use for each deck
application.

4. Secure the chambers to the deck with carriage bolts
(5/16 x 3/4 inch) and nuts (5/16 inch).
Note:
Position the nuts to the outside of the deck
( Figure 1 ).
5. Mount the roller bracket to the underside of the deck
with 3 carriage bolts (5/16 x 1 inch) and 3 nuts (5/16
inch) as shown in
Figure 1 .
6. Mount the roller to the bracket with the bolt, spacer,
and nut.
Note:
If you use the cutting unit in the 25 or 38 mm
(1 or 1-1/2 inch) height-of-cut setting, position the
roller in the top bracket holes.
7. Install the blades, anti-scalp cups, and blade bolts
(
Figure 2 ).

8. Tighten the blade bolts to 115 to 149 N-m (85 to 110
ft-lb).
Important:
The curved part of the blade must
point upward to ensure proper cutting.
9. Rotate the blades to ensure that there is no interference.
10. Tighten all fasteners securely.
11. Install the covers to the top of the deck.
12. Remove the blocks and lower the deck.
13. Affix the identification decal to the side of the mower
deck approximately 13 cm (5 inches) behind the serial
plate (
Figure 3 ).
Note:
Ensure that the mounting surface is clean.
