Disconnecting the
Spark-Plug Wire

Before performing any maintenance on the engine,
belt, or cutting blades, disconnect the spark-plug wire
from the spark plug (

Figure 15

).

Lubricating the Slicer-Shaft
Bearings

Service Interval:

Every 25 hours—Grease the

slicer-shaft bearings.

1.

Shut off the engine, wait for all moving parts to
stop, and remove the spark-plug wire.

2.

Engage the parking brake.

3.

Lubricate the fittings (

Figure 16

) with 1 or 2

pumps of NLGI grade No. 2 multi-purpose
grease.
