Unfolding the Handle
No Parts Required
Procedure
WARNING
Folding or unfolding the handle improperly can
damage the cables, causing an unsafe operating
condition.
•
Do not damage the cables when folding or
unfolding the handle.
•
If a cable is damaged, contact an Authorized
Service Dealer.
1. Loosen the upper handle knobs (Figure 3).

2. Carefully move the upper handle forward until the
handle halves are in line and nest together as shown
in Figure 4.

3. Tighten the handle knobs firmly by hand (Figure 3).
4. Rotate the handle rearward to the operating position
and lock the handle at your desired height. Refer
to Adjusting the Handle Height in the Operation
section.

Filling the Engine with Oil
No Parts Required
Procedure
Important:
Your mower does not come with oil
in the engine. Before starting the engine, fill the
engine with oil.
Max. fill: 20 oz. (0.59 l), type: SAE 30 or SAE 10W-30
detergent oil with an API service classification of SF,
SG, SH, SJ, SL, or higher.
1. Move the mower to a level surface.
2. Remove the dipstick (Figure 5).

Slowly
pour oil into the oil fill hole, wait a few
minutes, and check the oil level on the dipstick by
