Disconnecting the Negative
Battery Cable
No Parts Required
Procedure
1. Position the vehicle on a level surface, stop the
engine, engage the parking brake and remove the
key from the ignition.
2. Remove the battery cover.
3. Disconnect the negative battery cable from the
battery.

Removing the Hood
No Parts Required
Procedure
1. Position the vehicle on a level surface, stop the
engine, engage the parking brake and remove the
key from the ignition.
2. While grasping the hood in the headlight openings,
lift up on the hood to release the lower mounting
tabs from the frame slots (Figure 1).
3. Pivot the bottom of the hood upward until the top
mounting tabs can be pulled from the frame slots
(Figure 1).
4. Pivot the top of the hood forward and unplug the
wire connectors from the head lights (Figure 1).
5. Remove the hood.

Installing the Main Beam
Lights
Parts needed for this procedure:
2 Main beam light
2 Harness adapter
Procedure
1. Remove the retainers securing the headlights to the
hood and remove the headlights (Figure 2).
2. Insert the new main beams into the hood openings
and secure with the retainers removed (Figure 2).
Note:
Make sure the writing on the main beams is
upright.
