High Hand Universal Arm Sling
Instructions For Use
Please read these instructions completely and carefully before applying this
product. Correct application is important for proper function of this brace.
Indications:
Post-injury/surgery of the hand and/or wrist requiring elevation.
Application Instructions:
1.
Insert arm into sling pocket so that the wide portion
is towards the elbow (image 1).
2.
Bring the 2 “D” rings together on the sling pocket and
thread the 2” foam strap (that is NOT sewn to the sling
pocket by the elbow) so that the strap returns on itself
with the black hook closure tab affixing to the material
approximately 3” from the “D” rings and facing away
from you to allow for adjustment (image 2).
3.
Wrap the other end of the strap over the shoulder and
back under the arm and affix the other end to the front
of the sling pocket (it may need to be trimmed once the
sling is fitted). The gray assembly “D” ring that is affixed
to the strap must be facing out (image 3 & 4).
4.
The “D” ring atached with the gray hook material should
be positioned directly over the shoulder blade on the
back of your shoulder facing out. If it is not correctly
positioned, have another person assist in relocating it
to the proper location before proceeding (image 5).
5.
With the assistance of another person thread the strap
that is sewn to the sling pocket by the elbow through
the gray “D” ring assembly that is over your shoulder
blade. The distal end of this strap has a gray hook tab
that will affix itself to the returning portion of the strap.
This can be trimmed to length if it is too long (image 6).
6.
Adjust the height and position the sling to your comfort
using the the black hook tab that is just above the dual
“D” ring assembly at the narrow portion of the sling pocket
(image 7 & 8).
7.
REMOVAL
-To remove the sling release the strap that is
secured to the front of the sling pocket. Remove the arm
from the pocket. Lift the assembly over the head so that
the strap across the back remains secured.
NOTE: LEFT ARM CONVERSION
- Gray “D” ring and
gray velcro will need to be reversed on the straps.
