Intended use
1.
This product is a magnifying glass with three dioptres on arm lamp. It is intended to produce a magnified image
of objects. It needs to be firmly mounted on a suitable surface such as a table, a window shelf or a wall. The
balanced arm allows the lamp to be set to a desired position. The product was manufactured according to
safety class 2 (protective insulation) and must be powered from mains socket. It is only authorised to be used
in dry indoor environment.
This product fulfils European and national requirements related to electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
CE conformity has been verified and the relevant statements and documents have been deposited at
the manufacturer.
Unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the device are inadmissible because of safety and approval
reasons (CE). Any usage other than described above is not permitted and can damage the product and lead to
associated risks such as short-circuit, fire, electric shock, etc. Please read the operating instructions thoroughly
and keep them for further reference.

We do not assume liability for resulting damages to property or personal injury if the
product has been abused in any way or damaged by improper use or failure to observe
these operating instructions. The warranty will then expire!
The icon with exclamation mark indicates important information in the operating
instructions. Carefully read the whole operating instructions before operating the device,
otherwise there is risk of danger.
Persons / Product
When handled improperly, the magnifier may focus sunlight into a small spot to create very high
•
temperatures. When not in use, always cover the magnifying glass in the lamp head with the plastic cover.
Otherwise, there is a danger the glass could ignite a fire when positioned in strong sunlight.
Do not plug in or remove the mains plug from the socket with wet hands.
•
Do not look directly into the light source, when the lamp is in operation.
•
Never look into light sources, such as LED lamps or lasers, through the magnifying glass. This may result
•
in eye injuries, due to the optical interaction.
Never pour any liquids above the lamp. You run the risk of causing a fire or a fatal electric shock. However,
•
if liquid does get into the device, immediately remove the mains plug from the mains socket and consult
an expert.
The device is for workplace lighting and not a children’s toy. Keep it out of the reach of children.

Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. It may become a dangerous plaything for
•
children.
Keep the power cable away from sharp objects.
•
Never unplug from the mains socket by pulling the plug’s power cable. Always pull on the gripping surfaces
•
on the plug.
Never carry the lamp using the power cable or pull it strongly.
•
The device is still connected with the mains when it is switched off. To disconnect it completely from the
•
mains, the mains plug has to be pulled out of the socket.
Never leave the lamp without supervision when it is in use.
•
Check the lamp for damage from time to time. If the lamp or its connection cable is damaged, do not touch
•
it. First, switch off the appropriate mains socket (e.g. via the respective circuit-breaker) and then carefully
pull the mains plug from the socket. Do not use the product afterwards, instead take it to a specialist
workshop.
Do not subject the lamp to strong mechanical stress. Do not expose it to high temperatures, strong
•
vibrations, drips or water spray.
Miscellaneous
Servicing, adjustment or repair works must only be carried out by a specialist/ specialist workshop.

Mounting

Never position the product in the vicinity of combustible or easily flammable materials,
(e.g. curtains, decorative materials etc.)!
Ensure that no object (e. g, a curtain) can come into contact with the lamp or come into its
vicinity due to drafts. Otherwise there could be a fire risk.
The entire lamp should be set up out of the reach of children. Children could knock over
the light and be injured or cause a fire.
Never cover the lamp when it is switched on.
Never place the device on an unstable surface. People may be hurt if the product falls
over.
Fasten the clamp to a suitable surface such as the edge of a table or a windowsill.

Turn the screw clamp clockwise until the clamp is fastened securely to the surface.

Insert the lamp stand into the clamp holder and adjust the lamp position as required. Fasten the lamp head

using the butterfly screw.
Connection / Start-up

Never operate the lamp without the protective cover over the light source, or when the
protective cover is damaged.
Check whether the available mains voltage is appropriate for the voltage range indicated
on the lamp.
The wall outlet must also be easily accessible after the power pack is plugged in, to ensure
its fast and safe disconnection from the mains in the event of a malfunction.
Place the connection cable so that nobody can trip over it.

Plug the mains plug into a wall mains socket.
2.
Switch on the lamp, using the switch on the top of the lamp.

Position „O”: Lamp is switched off
Position „I”: Lamp is switched on
When using the product, arrange your chair, table and the lamp in a convenient and comfortable
position to avoid eye strain and a stiff neck.
Use both eyes, which should be 20 to 25 cm away from the lens, then move the object closer to or
further from the lens until the image is clear. Wear spectacles if you normally do.
Changing the light source

Before replacing the light source, always disconnect the lamp from its power supply (pull
the plug out of the socket!).
Lamps that are in use become very hot! To avoid burning, allow the lamp to cool down for
at least 5 minutes before you replace it.
Never use light sources with a greater output than stated in the technical data, as the lamp
could be overloaded.
Carefully remove the protective cover at the rear of the lamp head.

Carefully remove the defective tube from the socket.

Then proceed in reverse order to insert the new tube.

Maintenance and care

Blow off loose particles using clean compressed air and then brush the remaining debris away with a fine

lens brush.
Wipe the surface with a lens cleaning cloth or a clean, soft, lint-free cloth. In the case of fingerprints or any
•
other grease formation, the cloth may be moistened with water or lens cleaning fluid.
Do not use acid, alcohol, or other solvents or harsh, linty cloth to clean the lens. Avoid excessive cleaning
•
and excessive pressure.
Always avoid touching your contact lens with your fingernails or other sharp objects.
Disposal

Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory
regulations.
