Assembly
When drilling holes in the wall or screwing tight, ensure not to damage any cables or
lines.
a) Attachment via mounting bracket
The wall extension reel can be secured to a stable surface using the swivelling U-shaped
mounting bracket and two screws (and if necessary, wall plugs).
The cable exit must be at the top.
b) Use of the provided wall bracket
If you use the provided wall bracket, the wall extension reel can be easily inserted and removed.
Thus, the wall extension reel can also be used in a mobile fashion, e.g. as an extension cable.
Attach the wall bracket to a stable surface with four screws (and if
necessary, wall plugs) such that the semicircular angle, curved at
90°, on one side of the wall bracket is positioned with the threaded
hole pointing downward (see the circled area in the picture to the
right).
The wall extension reel can then be set into the bracket from
above and secured in the bracket with the single threaded screw.
When necessary, you can unscrew the threaded screw and take
the wall extension reel out of the bracket in order to transport it.
Getting started, use
a) Connection
Plug the earthed mains plug of the wall extension reel into a regular earthed mains socket
(wall socket).
b) Pulling the power cable out
Pull the power cable slowly out of the wall extension reel. Do not exert any force.
The cable reel inside the wall extension reel catches in place only within a certain
range for each rotation. This clicking in can be heard when pulling the power cable
out.
The remaining range is used for loosening the catching so that the cable can be
wound up again without having to use a lever or similar.
Therefore, do not be surprised that the cable reel does not catch in place at each
point on the cable - this is normal and necessary for the function principle of the
automatic reel.
c) Winding up the power cable (using the automatic reel)
As described above under b), the cable reel catches only in a specific range for each
rotation.
The remaining range is necessary to loosening the catching and for the power cable
to wind up on the automatic reels.
Pull the cable out until catching cannot be heard. This is the range where the automatic reel
loosens the lock of the cable reel.
Now let the power cable wind back into the wall extension reel.
Do not let go of the cable so that it is pulled in on its own! There is a risk of damage
to the cable or the wall extension reel, as well as a risk of injury!
For safety reasons, the manufacturer has selected a spring for the automatic reel of
the wall extension reel that is not too strong so that the power cable is not pulled in
too fast/hard.
Especially when outside temperatures are low and the power cable is therefore
relatively stiff, the reeling function may not work perfectly.
d) Overheating protection
A special thermal fuse is triggered when the temperature of the wall extension reel becomes too
high. This will deactivate the connected consumer and the wall extension reel will cool down.
Remove the cause of the overload. Keep in mind that the power rating of the con
-
sumers must not be higher than 1100 W when the cable is wound up. The max.
power rating is 3200 W with the cable completely unwound.
After the wall extension reel has cooled down sufficiently, it can be put into operation again. To
do this, push in the red button on the side and release it again.
e) Cable stopper
The cable stopper can be mounted on another place on the mains cable as
needed. To do this, loosen the two screws on the cable stopper and then at-
tach it at the desired position.
The side with the smaller diameter must point in the direction of the
wall extension reel.
Do not use the wall extension reel without the cable stopper!
Care and Cleaning
• Disconnect the wall extension reel from the mains voltage before cleaning. Disconnect the
earthed mains plug from the mains socket (wall socket).
• The product is maintenance-free for you. The product contains no parts that require servic-
ing. Therefore, do not open/dismantle it. Maintenance or repair may only be performed by
qualified personnel or a specialised repair shop.
• Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions as
they can cause damage to the housing and malfunctioning.
•
Clean the product with a dry, fibre-free cloth.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the house-
hold waste. At the end of its service life, dispose of the product in accordance with
applicable regulatory guidelines.
You thus fulfill your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
