Caution - damage caused through improper installation
The installation must be performed by authorised personnel only for example, a qualified radio
dealer or an automotive electronics workshop.
Caution - risk of injury in case of accidents
Do not mount the unit or accessories in the inflation area of airbags or in the impact area for
the head or knees. Choose an installation location that will avoid interference with displays,
safety equipment and controls.
Caution - damage to the chassis
Make sure you do not drill into parts of the chassis that have structural or security-related
functions. This is because you cannot be certain that they will function properly after modifica-
tion.
Caution - risk of fire
Make sure you do not drill into covered wiring harnesses, fuel lines or similar components.
Drilling into these can cause fire.
Installing the extension cable
1.
Read the safety instructions to find the right place and avoid damages while affixing the
extension cable.
2.
Find a place where to affix the female OBD plug, that is dry and is not exposed to wet
conditions.
3.
Affix the female OBD plug using the fixation holes and the fixatives provided, so your CURFER
device can be operated in a stable position.
Important
:
Your CURFER device comes with an integrated acceleration sensor. To ensure proper func-
tioning, the female OBD plug of the extension cable must be affixed so it does not allow any
motion during operation.
Make sure the cable does not interfere with driver's actions (gas pedal, gear lever, door etc.).
4.
Insert the male OBD plug of the extension cable into your vehicle's OBD connector until it
tightly fits and cannot drop off.
5.
Plug the female OBD plug of the extension cable into your CURFER device until it tightly fits
and cannot drop off.
6.
Follow the installation instructions provided by the CURFER app.
