TROUBLE SHOOTING GUIDE
If a fault occurs, first check the points listed below before taking the set to repair.
Do not open the set as there is a risk of electric shock.
If you are unable to remedy a problem by following these hints, consult your dealer or service center.
WARNING : under no circumstances should you try to repair the set yourself, as this will invalidate the warranty.
PROBLEM CAUSE SOLUTION
GENERAL
NO SOUND Volume not adjusted Adjust the Volume
Check whether you selected right
function. Press SOURCE button and select
the correct source.
NO POWER Power cord not securely
connected Connect the AC power cord
properly
CD PORTION
No DISC indication No CD/Mp3 inserted Insert a CD, Mp3 or CD-R.
CD badly scratched or dirty Replace / Clean the CD, see
Maintenance.
CD-R is blank or the disc is not
finalized. Use a finalized CD-R
The CD playback does not
start An unplayable disc is inserted Insert a playable disc
CD/MP3/USB playback does
not work CD/MP3/USB is badly scratched /
dirty. Replace/Clean CD/MP3/USB (see
maintenance)
Laser lens steamed up Wait until lens has adjusted to
room temperature
The CD/MP3 skips tracks CD/MP3 damaged or dirty Replace or clean the CD/MP3.
Program is active Quit the Program mode
RADIO
Radio stations cannot be
tuned in The antenna is badly positioned or
connected poorly Connect the antenna securely and
fully extend the Antenna for best
reception
REMOTE CONTROL
The remote control does not
work properly The remote control is too far from
the unit Operate the remote control within
about 7 m (23ft).
There is an obstacle between the
remote control and the unit
remote sensor Remove the obstacle.
The battery in the remote control
is exhausted Replace the battery with a new
one.
