IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances especially when children are present, basic safety
precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or
injury to persons, including the following:
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS.
2. To protect against electrical shock, do not place cord, plug or motor housing in water
or other liquid.
3. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
4. Unplug from outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts, and before
cleaning.
5. Avoid contacting moving parts.
6. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance
malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest
authorized service facility for examination, repair or adjustment.
7. The use of accessory attachments, including canning jars, not recommended by the
appliance manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock or injury.
8. Do not use outdoors.
9. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter or touch hot surfaces.
10. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
11. When blending hot liquids, remove center piece of two-piece cover.
12. Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot food,
water or other hot liquids.
13. Keep hands and utensils out of container while blending to reduce the risk of severe
injury to persons or damage to the unit. A scraper may be used, but must be used
only when the blender is not running.
14. Blades are sharp. Handle carefully.
15. To reduce the risk of injury, never place cutter assembly blades on base without the
jar properly attached.
16. Always operate the blender with the cover (lid) in place.
17. Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
18. To disconnect, turn control to OFF, then remove plug from wall outlet.
