INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE - 'Keep Warm' Method
The Kettle has a 'Keep Warm' feature which when activated, will maintain
the water temperature between 170° - 180°F / 76° - 82°C as long as the
Keep Warm Switch is depressed and illuminated and the Kettle is plugged in.
With the Kettle filled to the MAX level, the Kettle can be left in the 'Keep
Warm' mode for 12 hours. Never allow the Kettle to boil dry or water to drop
below the MIN mark on the Water Level Window.
NOTE
: The 'Keep Warm' feature will not boil the water. The feature is intended
to keep the water at a predetermined temperature after the boil cycle.
1. Install the Filter, if not already in place. Never use the Kettle without the
Filter. Removal of the filter may prevent the Kettle from shutting off.
2. Open the Lid by depressing the 2 Lid Release Buttons simultaneously and
grasping the central bar. Lift the Hinged Lid backwards. The Kettle can
also be filled through the spout.
3. Ensure that the On/Off Switch is in the Off ('0') position.
4. Fill the Kettle with cold water between the MIN and MAX levels shown
on the Water Level Window. DO NOT attempt to fill while the Kettle is on
the Power Base.
DO NOT use for other than boiling water. Other liquids will contaminate
the interior of the Kettle.
DO NOT fill past the MAX level indicated on the Water Level Window.
Overfilling may cause water to spill out when boiling.
5. Close the Lid. The Lid must be properly closed to ensure correct operation
of the Kettle.
6. Place Kettle on Base making sure it is correctly engaged on its Base.
7. Plug Power Base cord into a 120V AC wall outlet.
NOTE: Never plug Power Base with empty Kettle into the electrical outlet.
8. The Keep Warm feature can be switched on before, after or during the
boiling cycle by depressing the Keep Warm Switch. The Keep Warm
Switch will illuminate when the 'Keep Warm' feature is activated.
