7.8  Windows NT 4.0 Audio Driver Installation 

IMPORTANT: You should install the Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 4 or 
higher first before installing the VIA 686A PCI multimedia audio device 
drivers. If you don't have Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 4 or higher, 
please contact your software vendor or download it from Microsoft's 
web site.  

 

1. Insert the driver CD disc to the CD-ROM drive. The CD-ROM 
autoruns and displays the selections available. Click on

 

VIA M/B Drivers

 

and the following window appears. Click 

VIA 686A PCI Multimedia 

Audio Driver

.

 

 

 

2.  When the 

Welcome

 screen appears, click 

Next

 to proceed with the 

audio driver installation.  

 

3. The 

Select Components

 window will appear. Click 

Next

 to install the 

audio driver.
