This fitting is supplied for use with the V

ecton UV Aquarium
Steriliser and the Pond Clear Advantage UV Pond Clarifier.
The elbow has two functions:-
On the Pond Clear Advantage it will increase the safe visible glow from the UV
lamp located inside the UV unit.
On the V
2
ecton Steriliser it offers a variety of flexible pipe orientations.
As shown in the diagram, the end with the fitted threaded locknut may be fitted
to either the inlet or the outlet of the UV unit.
It is important to correctly seat gasket A on to the face of the UV
inlet/outlet and sandwich it between this face and the face of the clear
elbow. It is important to use gasket A in this position and not gasket B.
Gasket A is supplied with the clear elbow and is made from a softer
material than gasket B. Gasket B is supplied with the original UV unit.
Fitting procedure:
1. Fit the hosetail to the end of the clear elbow as shown in the diagram and as
explained in the UV unit instruction book.
2. Fit your flexible hose (not supplied) to the hosetail.
3. Fit the complete clear elbow/hosetail assembly to the inlet/outlet of the UV
unit, ensuring gasket A is correctly seated as described above. The fitted
locknut must now be tightened onto the inlet/outlet, ensuring that it is fully
hand tightened to prevent any water leaks.
PLEASE NOTE
The clear elbow/hosetail assembly will not support excessive weight. If you have long
or awkward runs of plastic hose this must be supported, to prevent over-stressing the
complete assembly.
If the clear elbow/hosetail assembly is rotated after it has been connected to the
UV inlet/outlet, the fitted locknut must be re-tightened to ensure that there is
still a good watertight seal.
If the clear elbow/hosetail assembly is accidently knocked or bumped, or if any
maintenance has been carried out, the clear elbow/hosetail assembly should be
checked to ensure it is still positioned and fitted correctly.
Failure to follow these instructions or carry out the above checks may result
in a water leak. If in doubt always check that the assembly is watertight.

ecton-Sterilisator bietet er eine Vielzahl von flexiblen Rohrausrichtungen.
Wie aus der Abbildung ersichtlich ist, kann das Ende mit der mit dem Gewinde
versehenen Sicherheitsmutter entweder an den Einlass oder den Auslass der UV-
Einheit angeschlossen werden.
Stellen Sie sicher, dass Dichtung A richtig auf der Stirnseite des UV-
Einlasses bzw. Auslasses aufgesetzt ist, und diese zwischen dieser
Stirnseite und der Stirnseite des lichtdurchlässigen Rohrbogens
eingeklemmt ist. Bitte verwenden Sie hierbei ausschließlich Dichtung A
an dieser Stelle und nicht Dichtung B. Dichtung A wird mit dem
lichtdurchlässigen Rohrbogen geliefert und ist aus einem weicheren
Material gefertigt als Dichtung B. Dichtung B kommt mit der
ursprünglichen UV-Einheit.
Montage:
1. Befestigen Sie den Schlauchadapter am Ende des lichtdurchlässigen Rohrbogens
gemäß der Abbildung und der Beschreibung in der Betriebsanleitung der UV-Einheit.
2. Befestigen Sie Ihren flexiblen Schlauch (nicht mitgeliefert) an dem
Schlauchadapter.
3. Befestigen Sie die komplette Einheit bestehend aus lichtdurchlässigem
Rohrbogen und Schlauchadapter am Einlass bzw. Auslass der UV-Einheit, und
stellen Sie sicher, dass die Dichtung korrekt sitzt, wie oben beschrieben. Die
angebrachte Sicherheitsmutter muss jetzt am Einlass bzw. Auslass angezogen
werden, wobei sicherzustellen ist, dass sie vollständig handfest angezogen ist,
um ein Austreten von Wasser zu vermeiden.
BITTE BEACHTEN SIE
Die Einheit bestehend aus lichtdurchlässigem Rohrbogen und Schlauchadapter
darf nicht mit übermäßigem Gewicht belastet werden. Lange oder schwerfällige
Kunststoffschläuche müssen unterstützt werden, um Überbeanspruchung der
kompletten Einheit zu verhindern.
Wenn die Einheit bestehend aus lichtdurchlässigem Rohrbogen und
Schlauchadapter nach dem Anschließen an den UV-Einlass bzw. Auslass gedreht
wird, muss die angebrachte Sicherheitsmutter erneut angezogen werden, um eine
gute wasserdichte Abdichtung sicherzustellen.
Wenn die Einheit bestehend aus lichtdurchlässigem Rohrbogen und
Schlauchadapter zufällig angestoßen oder angeschlagen wird, oder nach einer
Wartung, dann sollte die Einheit bestehend aus lichtdurchlässigem Rohrbogen und
Schlauchadapter überprüft werden, um sicherzustellen, dass diese noch immer
richtig ausgerichtet und angebracht ist.
Nichtbeachtung dieser Anweisungen oder der Durchführung der genannten
Kontrollen können zu Wasseraustritt führen. Im Zweifelsfall immer
sicherstellen, dass die Einheit wasserdicht ist.

Advantage.
Le coude a deux fonctions :

ecton, il permet d’installer le tuyau flexible dans plusieurs sens.
Comme illustré sur le schéma, l’extrémité sur laquelle est installé le contre-écrou
fileté peut être raccordée à l’entrée ou à la sortie de l’unité UV.
Il est important d’installer correctement le joint A sur l’entrée/la sortie
UV et de la coincer entre l’entrée/la sortie UV et le coude transparent.
Il est important d’utiliser le joint A, et non pas le joint B, dans cette
position. Le joint A est fourni avec un coude transparent et il est
fabriqué d’un matériau plus doux que le joint B. Le joint B est fourni
avec l’unité UV d’origine.
Installation :
1. Installez l’embout de tuyau à l’extrémité du coude transparent, comme illustré
sur le schéma et comme expliqué dans le livret qui accompagne l’unité UV.
2. Installez votre tuyau flexible (non fourni) sur l’embout de tuyau.
3. Installez le coude transparent complet / ensemble de l’embout de tuyau sur
l’entrée/la sortie de l’unité V en veillant à ce que le joint A soit bien assis,
comme décrit ci-dessus. Le contre-écrou installé doit maintenant être serré à
la main sur l’entrée/la sortie pour veiller à empêcher les fuites d’eau.
A NOTER
Le coude transparent/ensemble de l’embout de tuyau ne peut pas supporter un
poids excessif. Si vous avez des morceaux de tuyau en plastique longs ou difficiles,
ils doivent être supportés pour empêcher de stresser excessivement l’ensemble
complet.
Si le coude transparent/ensemble de l’embout du tuyau est tourné après avoir
été connecté à l’entrée/sortie UV, le contre-écrou installé doit être resserré pour
veiller à ce qu’il y ait un bon joint étanche.
Si le coude transparent/ensemble de l’embout du tuyau est accidentellement
heurté ou cogné, ou en cas d’intervention de maintenance, le coude
transparent/ensemble de l’embout du tuyau doit être vérifié pour vérifier qu’il
est toujours positionné et installé correctement.
Le non respect de ces instructions ou la non performance des vérifications
ci-dessus peut entraîner des fuites d’eau. En cas de doute, assurez-vous
toujours que l’ensemble est étanche.
