Saving and Loading using a USB Drive

Firmware version 023 adds the ability to save the internal sequence date to an external USB drive.

The drive needs to be in the same format (MS DOS FAT32) as what is used for updating the fir-

mware. This function is primarily intended as a method of archiving data.

Files are saved to the root of the drive in the format CRDATA01.TXT to CRDATA16.TXT, but they

are not text files.

In the Global page the saved locations are accessed using Rows 3 through 6 and columns Group,

Preset, Step and Channel.

Location 1 is Row 3 in the Group column and location 16 is Row 6 in the Channel column.

Saving to USB

- Enter Global view

- Press the B button (lights Green)

- Press any of the 16 locations (row 3-6, column Group-Channel).

- The Swing LED lights while saving (note below about the time)

- B Button turns off when done

Note: Saving is done at USB 1.0 speed and modern large USB drives are very slow to write to, so

expect times up to 30 seconds to save the data. Smaller capacity drives may be faster than large

ones.

Loading From USB

- Enter Global view

- Press the C button (lights Green)

- Press any of the 16 locations (row 3-6, column Group-Channel)

- The Swing LED lights while loading (very fast)

- If the file doesn’t exist or is the wrong size the C button turns Red for an Error.
