If an error occurs during a measurement, the measurement is discontinued and a cor-
responding error code is displayed.

Other possible malfunctions and possible solutions: If problems occur when using the
device, the following points should be checked and if necessary, the corresponding
measures are to be taken:
Malfunctions Remedy Chart
If an error occurs during a measurement, the measurements are
discontinued and a corresponding error code is displayed. (example: error no. 1)
Error No.
Possible cause(s)
Err 1
The systolic pressure was determined but afterwards the cuff
pressure fell below 20 mmHg. This situation can occur, for
example, if the tube becomes unplugged after the systolic
blood pressure has been measured. Further possible cause:
No pulse has been detected
Err 2
Unnatural pressure impulses impair the result of the
measurement. Cause: The arm was moved during the
measurement.
Err 3
Inflation of the cuff takes too long. The cuff is not correctly
seated or the hose connection is not sealed.
Err 5
The measured readings indicated an unacceptable difference
between systolic and diastolic pressures. Take another
reading taking care to follow directions carefully. Contact
you doctor if you continue to get unusual readings.
Err 6
Single data differ too much during the AAT Mode even after
4 cycles. No average result can be displayed.
Other possible malfunctions and their elimination
If problems occur when using the device, the following points should be checked and,
if necessary, the corresponding measures are to be taken:
Malfunction
The display remains empty when the
instrument is switched on although
the batteries are in place.
Remedy
1. Check whether the batteries are
installed with the correct polarity and
correct if necessary. 2. If the display is
unusual, remove the batteries and
then exchange them for new.
Malfunction
The pressure does not rise although
the pump is running
The device frequently fails to measure
the blood pressure valves, or the valves
measured are too low (too high)
Every measurement results in different
values, although the device functions
normally and normal values are displayed.
The blood pressure values measured
differ from those measured by the doctor.
Further information
The level of blood pressure is subject to fluctuations even in healthy people. It is
important to compare measurements taken under the same conditions and at the
same time of day. (Quiet conditions) The device has been subjected to strict clinical
tests by experienced Cardiac Specialists. This device is manufactured to meet
European standards under the supervision of the Technical Monitoring Association.
