4. Installation
• Ensure the mains supply is switched off and the circuit supply fuses
are removed or the circuit breaker turned off.
• An isolating switch should be installed to the switch the power
ON and OFF to the luminaire. This allows the unit to be easily
switched OFF for maintenance purposes.
• Remove the mounting bracket by undoing the two bolts and washers
located on the left and right side of the luminaire (take note of the order
of the washers).
• Use the mounting bracket as a template and mark the position
of the mounting holes on the wall.
• Drill the holes for the wall plugs ensuring not to infringe with any
gas/water pipes or electrical cables that may be hidden below the surface.
Insert the wall plugs.
• Fix the mounting bracket to the wall using the correct screws
for the wall plugs installed.
• Re-attach the luminaire to the mounting bracket using the two bolts
and washers previously removed, just enough to secure into place
but do not over tighten.
• 1 metre of cable is supplied with the product pre fitted via a waterproof
cable gland. Connect the supplied wire to the terminals in a junction box
with the required IP rating, and connect the incoming mains to the terminals
in the junction box ensuring correct polarity is observed and that all bare
conductors are sleeved (see section 5. Wiring Connections).
Note: If a junction box is not being used, pass the 1 metre supplied cable
through your pre drilled hole (if required), then connect directly to the
isolation switch.
• Adjust the angle of the luminaire so it illuminates the required area
and then tighten the bolts holding the bracket to the luminaire body.
