water temperature in the water heater reaches the temperature, set by the
user, the heating is automatically switched off, at that “ ” indicator light on
the control panel lights down. When water temperature in the water heater
drops to a certain level, the heating is automatically switched off, at that
“ ” indicator light on the control panel lights up.
3. Power mode selection
3.1. Press the thermostat knob several times to select the desired heating
power.
3.2. If you select low heating power then “energy save” indicators light up
on the control panel and “ ” indicator is shown on the display.
3.3. If you select medium heating power then “normal heat” indicators light
up on the control panel and “ ” indicator is shown on the display
.3.4 If you select high heating power then “energy save” and “normal heat”
indicators light up on the control panel simultaneously, and “ ” indicator
is shown on the display.
3.5. After the heating mode is selected, “energy save” and “normal heat”
indicators are on for 10 minutes, then they light down.
4. Clock setting
4.1. When the water heater is on, press “mode” button once, and clock
value will start blinking on the display.
4.2. Press “ ” button to increase hours, in increments of 1 hour for
single pressing.
4.3. Press “ ” button to increase minutes, in increments of 1 minute for
single pressing.
4.4. When the desired time will be set, do not press any buttons, the clock
will keep blinking for 5 seconds and then setting will be completed and the
clock will start counting.
5. Timer setting
5.1. Water heater activation timer setting
IMPORTANT!
Water may start dripping from the relief valve hole
during heating. It is impossible to avoid water leakage
and you must not prevent it since valve blocking
may cause rupture of the internal tank (in case of
equipment failure).
5.1.1. When the water heater is on, press “mode” button twice and the
clock [00:00] on the display will start blinking.
5.1.2. Using buttons “ ” and “ ” set the desired water heater activation
time (see item 4.2, 4.3).
5.1.3. . When the desired time will be set, do not press any buttons, the
clock will keep blinking for 5 seconds and then setting will be completed.
5.2. Water heater deactivation timer setting
5.2.1. When the water heater is on, press “mode” button three times and
the clock [00:00] on the display will start blinking.
5.2.2. Using buttons “ ” and “ ” set the desired water heater
deactivation time (see item 4.2, 4.3).
5.2.3. When the desired time will be set, do not press any buttons, the
clock will keep blinking for 5 seconds and then setting will be completed.
5.3. Timer activation
When the water heater is on, press “timer” button once and “ ” indicator
will light up on the display and “TIMER” word will light up under the clock,
after that the water heater on/off timer will be activated, and heating will be
switched off (if it was on).
5.4. Timer deactivation
Press “timer” button 3 times, “ ” indicator and “TIMER” under the clock
will light down, after that the water heater on/off timer will be deactivated.
6. Night heating
When this function is activated, water heating will be performed only at
night, from 23:00 to 06:00. Heating will be impossible during other hours.
6.1. Press “timer” button twice to activate night heating, at that “ ”
indicator on the display will light up.
6.2. Press “timer” button twice again to deactivate night heating, at that
“ ” indicator on the display will light down.
7. Timer and night heating
Timer and night heating can be activated simultaneously. For this purpose
it is necessary to press “timer” button several times until timer and night
heating indicators light up simultaneously.
8. Control panel locking
8.1. Press and hold “mode” button on the control panel of the water heater
for 3 seconds to lock control buttons, at that “ ” indicator on the display
will be shown.
You can also use special button on remote control.
8.2. Press and hold “mode” button on the control panel of the water heater
for 3 seconds again to unlock control buttons, at that “ ” indicator on
the display will light down.
9. Switching off
Press the temperature controller handle and hold it for several seconds or
press “ON/OFF” button on the remote controller to switch off the appliance,
at that indicator lights will light down and the temperature controller handle
back lighting will stay on.

1. Check the power plug and outlet as often as possible. Secure electrical
contact and also proper grounding must be provided. The plug and outlet
must not heat excessively.
2. If the water heater is not used for a long time, especially in regions with
low air temperature (below 0°C), it is necessary to drain water from the
heater .
3. To ensure long reliable water heater operation, it is recommended to
regularly clean the internal tank and remove deposits on the electric heating
element of the water heater, as well as check condition of the magnesium
anode and, if necessary, replace it with a new one.
4. Preventive operations must be performed upon strict observance of the
operation manual and safety precautions.
5. The water heater is equipped with a thermal switch, which cuts off power
supply of the heating element upon water overheating or its absence in the
water heater. If the water heater is connected to the mains, but water is
not heated and the indicator doesn’t light up, then the thermal switch was
switched off or not switched on. To reset the water heater to the operating
condition, it is necessary to:
- de-energize the water heater, remove the plate of the side / lower cover
for horizontal-type/vertical-type water heater respectively.
- for FSM6/FSM4 series horizontal-type water heaters: press the button,
located in the center of the thermal switch, placed near the heating element
(with a round shape), until it clicks, Fig.14;
- for FSM5/FSM3 series vertical-type water heaters: unscrew retaining
nut of the thermal switch, fastened on the flange of the heating element,
turn the thermal switch and press the button, located in the center of the
thermal switch, until it clicks; Fig. 15;
- if the button is not pressed and there is no clicking, then you should wait
until the thermal switch cools down to the initial temperature.
IMPORTANT!
The manufacturer provides an extended guarantee
for particular water heater components provided that
timely and proper routine maintenance is performed
by specialists of an authorized service center (see the
guarantee card).
IMPORTANT!
If these actions had no positive result or the thermal
switch turns off repeatedly during a short period of
time, then you should de-energize the water heater,
cut off water supply and contact your local Timberk
Authorized Service Center for a consult or repair of the
appliance.
