To calibrate:
1. Move the pusher close to the tool.
2. Place a sample of material against the pusher and cycle the tool.
3. Measure the length or cut angle of the piece.
4. Access the Setup menu (
pg. 14 ). The Calib screen is displayed.
5. Enter the measured value, then press to save it.
6. Press the [Done] soft key to return to the Ready Screen.
Calibrate
Calibration sets the position shown on the screen.
Kerf
Kerf is the width of material removed by the saw blade during a single stroke. The kerf setting affects accuracy in lists and
increment mode.
To measure the kerf:
1. Cut a part and measure it with a caliper.
2. Cut the part in half.
3. Put the two pieces back together and measure the total length.
4. Subtract the step 3 measurement from the step 1 measurement to find the kerf.
• It is important to measure your kerf every time the saw blade is changed.
Access the Setup menu ( pg. 14 ), then press the button repeatedly until the Home TS screen is displayed.
To run the Home routine:
1. Ensure the positioner can move to the upper limit of travel without
obstruction.
2. Press . The positioner will move slowly to the far limit.
3. When the routine completes successfully, the display will return to the
Home TS screen in the Setup menu.
4. Press
STOP
to return to the Ready Screen.
The TigerStop Menu
To adjust the kerf:
1. Access the Setup menu ( pg. 14 ) and press repeatedly until the Kerf screen is displayed.
0.125 inches is 3.2 mm.
2. Enter the new value and press to save.
3. Press the [Done] soft key to return to the Ready Screen.
Home
The home routine is a reference routine that must be successfully completed before the motor will respond to commands.
The home routine is a standard part of initialization ( pg. 9 ), but it can also be run from the menu to clear some error states.
Warning: During the home routine, the machine will move.
Be sure the path is clear to prevent collisions.
