Inspection and Maintenance

IDLE SPEED ADJUSTMENT

To adjust the idle speed properly, you need a tachometer, if you do not have 

one, ask your dealer to perform this adjustment.

To adjust the idle speed:

1. Start the engine and warm it up.

2. After engine warms up, turn the throttle stop screw in or out so that the 

engine idles at

Make sure that the engine is fully warmed up before adjusting the engine 

idle speed. Improper adjustment can result in increased engine wear,

lowest steady speed.
