Most MCU500 units will contain FLASH memory, and these settings will not need
to be changed. For users wishing to upgrade to FLASH, these jumpers must be
changed at the same time that the EPROM is changed.
With the MCU500 unboxed, and orientated so that the GPS connector is on the
right-hand side, JP5 can be found running horizontally just above the EPROM
socket (IC3), and to the right of the lithium battery.

6.4 RJ45 pin assignments
The MCU500 has more I/O capability than actual physical connections, and so to
remain as flexible as possible it is possible to change the mode of some of the
pins on the RJ45 connector to match specific application requirements.
The table below shows each RJ45 connection separately, each option can be
used in parallel, with up to 3 jumpers fitted in total.
With the MCU500 unboxed, and orientated so that the GPS connector is on the
right-hand side, JP6 can be found running vertically just to the right of the RJ45
connector.
