Assemble upper burr
Descaling the coffeemaker
Follow the diagram to assemble the upper burr. Turn the grind selection knob to the
desired scale and put on protective lid, Plug the power cord in and you can start using
the machine.
● Align the coarseness indicator with the red point.
● Place the upper burr and make sure that the two hooks on the burr are inserted in
the thread groove.
● Turn the knob counter-clockwise until a “click” is heard, which indicates that
the upper burr is put in correctly.
● Turn the selection know to the desired scale.
Descaling the coffeemaker
In the process of using the coffee machine, the minerals in the water would adhere to the
machine’s water pipe. This is what is generally known as ‘scale’. When too much steam
or an increase in boiling time is observed, please carry out descaling for the machine.
Regular descaling can prolong the usage life of the machine and also ensure that
you achieve the best brewing results and stable brewing time for a long time. Please
carry out the descaling by following the steps below.
Warning: Use only white vinegar as other products may damage the machine.
(Do not use vinegar, natural vinegar, detergent powder or sheet detergent with
acetic acid above 8% to descale, Otherwise, the coffee-maker will be damaged.)
●Pour 500ml of white vinegar into the jug
until level “4” and then pour 125ml of water
until level “5” and mix. Pour the mixture into
the coffee machine’s water tank.
●Remove the filter basket
and put the filter in. Insert
the jug into the machine.
●Place the jug on the
warmer plate.
●Wait for the vinegar-water solution in the jug to cool down before pouring it
into the water tank. (Note: The solution is filtered through the filter paper.)
●Remove the filter basket until the “Clean/maintenance” indicator light is off.
●Start brewing until the process is completed.
●Empty the jug and throw the filter away.
●Fill the water tank with cold water to start brewing 1 to 2 times until the water
no longer tastes of vinegar.
●
Wait until half of the vinegar-
water solution has flowed
into the jug until level “4”
before cancelling the brewing.
