CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Cleaning
Beware!
Before performing any cleaning or maintenance, disconnect the hood from the
mains by unplugging it or turning off the main switch of the house.
The inside and outside of the hood must be cleaned regularly (about once a month). For this,
use a cloth moistened with neutral liquid detergent. Do not use products containing
abrasives. DO NOT USE ALCOHOL!
ATTENTION: There is risk of fire if you do not observe the instructions on cleaning the
appliance and changing or cleaning the filter.
Cleaning of the external surface
• To protect the external surface of the hood from corrosion that can occur in the long run,
be sure to clean it every two months with warm water and a mild detergent.
• The motor and other parts must not come into contact with water.
• Charcoal filters should not be exposed to heat.
Grease filter
Fig. 9-14
The grease filter retains grease particles from cooking.
The metal grease filter must be cleaned once a month with non aggressive detergents, either
by hand or in the dishwasher at low temperatures and short cycle. Washing the metal grease
filter in the dishwasher may cause its discolouration.
However, the filter characteristics shall not be modified in any case. To remove the grease
filter, pull the release spring handle.
Activated charcoal filter (recirculation/filtering version only)
Fig. 13
It retains unpleasant cooking odours.
The saturation of the activated charcoal can be seen after a fairly long job, depending on the
frequency of use and the regularity of cleaning the grease filter. In any case, it is necessary to change
the filter after a maximum of four months.
IT CANNOT be cleaned or regenerated.
Remove the grease filters. Apply a charcoal filter aside and hang it to the hood. Put back the grease
filters.
Lamp Replacement
The hood is fitted with a lighting system based on LED technology. The LEDs provide optimal lighting,
lasting up to 10 times greater than traditional bulbs and allow savings of 90% in electricity.
To access the bulbs, first unplug the appliance from the mains, then remove the cover
.
Warning! Before touching the lamps, make sure they are cold. To purchase the LED to be replaced,
contact the
customer after-sales service
(technical assistance).
