• Only use the appliance for cleaning dry surfaces.
• Ensure that the main cable is not exposed to either
heat or chemical substances, nor that it is pulled
across sharp edges or surfaces.
• Never repair damage to the appliance, to
the accessories or to the cable (special cable
required); have repairs done only by an authorised
customer service station, because modifications
to the appliance can pose a risk to your health.
Ensure that only original spare parts and accesso-
ries are used.
• Do not expose the appliance to the elements,
humidity or heating sources.
• If the cable of this appliance is damaged, repairs
should only be carried out by the manufacturer, his
after sales service or loya qualified person.

Appliance, flexible with grip, telescopic tube, combi-
nation nozzle with parquet brush, upholstery nozzle,
crevice nozzle.
Assembly
• Push the hose end (2) into the neck (4) until it clicks
into place.
• Push the telescopic tube (7) onto the hose handle (5)
until it clicks into place.
• Push the combination nozzle (11) onto the lower end
of the telescopic tube (7a) until it clicks into place.

• To adjust the height of the telescopic tube (7) use the
slide button (8).
• The combination nozzle (11) can be adjusted for
carpets (bristles in) or hard floors (bristles out) by
using the pedal (10).
• The crevice nozzle (9) is located in the rear of the
machine. The crevice nozzle fits onto the hose handle
(5) as well as onto the lower end of the telescopic
tube (7a). The up holstery nozzle (1) is located on
the top of the machine. To use, fit it to the end of the
crevice nozzle (9).
Operation
•
Use your THOMAS AIRTEC/AIRTEC RC only at
the voltage stated on the type plate, which can be
found on the bottom side of the machine.
• Pull the whole cable out before plugging in.
• To switch on, press down on the on/off power con-
trol knob (12).
THOMAS AIRTEC
• To adjust suction power, rotate the on/off/power
control knob (12).
• Push the control knob (12) again to switch off the
machine after use. Pull the plug out of the socket. To
retract the cable, pull on it near the plug recess and
the mechanism will automatically rewind.
THOMAS AIRTEC RC
•
To adjust suction power, push the slider from O
(standby mode) to max. in the handle (5).
• Push the control knob (12) again to switch off the
machine after use. Pull the plug out of the socket. To
retract the cable, pull on it near the plug recess and
the mechanism will automatically rewind.
Always switch off and unplug the
machine before changing filterbags,
filters etc.
Bag Light
• The orange bag light (13) indicates a blockage or
a full filter bag.
• The light only works correctly at full power. At lower
power levels, the bag light might indicate incor-
rectly. Check the status regularly at full power.
Changing the filterbag
THOMAS AIRTEC and AIRTEC RC
• The orange bag light (13) indicates a blockage or
a full filterbag. Vacuuming fine dust fluff or hair may
require an earlier change even though the filterbag
is not full.
•
To change the filterbag (20), put the machine
upright, open the cover (19) on and press the catch
(22) to unlock the bottom side cover (19).
•
Follow the diagrams printed on the filterbag to
replace the filterbag.
• Please ensure that the filterbag top (23) is located
properly on both sides of the holder (21) and
pushed in until it locks.
•
The cover can only be closed with a properly
attached filterbag.
• Used filterbags can be sealed with a cap, which is
included in the THOMAS Filterbox.
