ASSEMBLE THE LAMP FIXTURE
1. Insert the green ground screw into the ground boss in the splice box
and tighten one turn.
NOTE: This is a self-tapping screw which creates its own thread as it is
tightened.
Install the green ground wire under the ground screw and tighten.
DO NOT overtighten as you may break the screw head (Fig. 1).
2. Strip off 1/2” of insulation from the ends of the two lampholder wires
(Fig 2). DO NOT CUT WIRE STRANDS .
3. Be sure the locking ring is on the lampholder. Liberally coat the threads
on the lampholder with sealant. Feed the lampholder wires through the
hole in the top of the splice box and thread the lampholder into the box.
Leave the locking ring loose for aiming the light (Fig. 3).
4. Wire the lampholder to the supply wires as follows: hold the two white
wires together and twist a wire connector over the ends of the wires in
a clockwise direction. In the same way, connect the two black wires.
Make sure wire connectors are secure and that no bare wires are
visible. Push all wiring into the splice box (Fig. 4).
5. Position the splice box gasket and cover on the box, aligning the screw
holes in the cover and gasket with those in the splice box. Attach the
cover and gasket to the box using the two 3/8” long screws. Tighten the
screws (Fig 5).
USING THE STAKE OR THE BRACKET:
6a. USING THE STAKE .
— Thread the stake into the thread hole in the bottom of the splice
box and hand tighten (Fig. 6).
— Choose a location for the fixture and push the unit into the
ground.
— If the unit can not be pushed into the ground, unscrew the stake
from the box. Place and hold a piece of scrap wood over the top
of the stake and hammer it into the ground, creating a hole.
(
DO NOT hammer the top of the bare stake. The threads of the
stake may deform). Withdraw the stake and re-thread it into the
bottom of the splice box. Once attached to the splice box, push
stake back into the hole.
IMPORTANT: WEAR SAFETY GLASSES when using a hammer.
DO NOT hammer the splice box. To maintain the versatility of the
Flood Light, save the mounting screws, and plug for future use.
6b. USING THE BRACKET to mount to an existing structure.
— Choose a location for the bracket/cover. Install the two 1” screws
1-1/4” apart. Slide the bracket/cover over screws and tighten
firmly.
— Screw the round threaded plug into the hole located on the
bottom of the splice box, tightening it firmly (Fig. 6).
NOTE: To maintain the versatility of the Flood Light, save the
stake for future use.
7. AIMING THE LIGHT: Loosen the screw on the swivel arm. Aim the
lampholder as desired and tighten the locking ring and screw. To fully
tighten the locking ring, push the teeth of the ring with a screwdriver.
NOTE: For wet location aim at least 45° downwards, see CAUTION on
page 1.
8. Place the circular gasket over the base of the bulb and screw the bulb
into the lampholder socket. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN THE BULB. Use
a standard Par 38 floodlight bulb, maximum 150-Watt.
9. Plug in the lamp cord. If the lamp does not light, check the bulb. If the
bulb is good, check to be sure the outlet has power. If the outlet has
power, UNPLUG THE UNIT and return to step 1.
10. To change from stake to structure mount. Remove stake and replace
with threaded plug. Mount fixture to desired location using the two 1”
long mounting screws.

2. P ele 1/2 pulgada del aislante de los extremos de los dos alambres del
portalámpar as. (Fig 2). NO CORT E LOS FILAMENTOS DE ALAMBRE .
3. Asegúrese de que el anillo de b loqueo esté en el por talámpar as. Aplique
sellador generosamente en la rosca del portalámpar as. Pase los alambres
del portalámpar as a tr avés del agujero en la par te super ior de la caja de
empalmes y enrosque el portalámpar as en la caja. Deje suelto el anillo de
bloqueo par a or ientar la lámpara (Fig. 3).
4. Conecte el por talámpara a los conductores de alimentación de la maner a
siguiente: J unte los conductores b lancos y coloque un empalme plástico
en los ex tremos de los conductores y gírelo en el sentido de las
manecillas del reloj. De la misma f orm a, conecte los dos alambres negros .
Asegúrese de que los conectores de empalme se encuentren firm emente
ajustados y que no haya ningún conductor desnudo visib le. Empuje todo el
cableado dentro de la caja de empalmes (Fig. 4).
5. Coloque la junta de la caja de empalmes y la tapa sobre la caja, alineando
los agujeros de los tornillos en la tapa y la junta con los de la caja de
empalmes. Instale la tapa y la junta a la caja utilizando los dos tor nillos de
3/8" de largo. Apr iete los tornillos (Fig. 5).

6a. USANDO LA EST AC A .
— Enrosque la estaca en el agujero roscado de la parte inf erior de
la caja de empalmes y apriete a mano (Fig. 6).
— Elija una ubicación par a el ar tefacto y presione la unidad inser tándola
en la tierra.
— Si la unidad no puede ser presionada en la tierr a, desenrosque la
estaca de la caja. Ubique y sostenga una pieza de mader a sobre la
parte super ior de la estaca y golpee con un mar tillo hasta crear un
agujero en la tierra. ( NO golpee la parte super ior de la estaca sin
protegerla. Las roscas de la estaca pueden defor marse). Retire la
estaca y vuelva a enroscar en la par te infer ior de la caja de
empalmes. Una v ez instalada en la caja de empalmes , presione la
estaca dentro del agujero.
IMPORTANTE: USE GAFA S DE PRO TECCIÓN al usar un martillo .
NO golpee la caja de empalmes con el martillo . P ara mantener la
versatilidad del reflector por tátil, guarde los tor nillos de montaje y el
tapón para uso futuro .
6b. USANDO EL SOPOR TE para montaje en una estr uctura existente .
— Elija una ubicación para el sopor te/tapa. Instale los dos tor nillos
de 1" y 1-1/4" por separado . Deslice el sopor te/tapa sobre los
tornillos y apr iete con firmeza.
— Enrosque el tapón redondo roscado en el agujero ubicado en la
parte inf erior de la caja de empalmes , apretando firm emente (Fig. 6).
NOTA : Pa ra mantener la versatilidad del reflector por tátil, guarde
la estaca para uso futuro .
7. ORIENT ANDO LA LÁMP ARA: Afloje el tornillo en el br azo gir atorio . Or iente
el portalámpar as como lo desee y apriete el anillo de b loqueo y el tor nillo.
Par a apretar completamente el anillo de b loqueo , presione el diente del
anillo con un destorn illador. NOTA : Par a ubicaciones húmedas or iente por
lo menos a 45° hacia abajo, v ea la PRECA UCIÓN en la página 1.
8. Coloque la junta circular sobre la base de la bombilla y enrosque la
bombilla en el portalámpar as. NO APRIETE DEMASIADO LA
BOMBILLA. Use un reflector estándar de 150 v atios máximo , Pa r 38.
9. Conecte el cordón de la lámpar a. Si la lámpar a no enciende , revise la
bombilla. Si la bombilla está bien, re vise que el tomacorriente tenga
energía. Si el tomacorr iente tiene energía, DESCONECTE LA UNIDAD
y vuelva al paso 1.
10 . P ara cambiar de montaje en estaca a montaje en estru ctura. Retire la
estaca y reemplace con un tapón roscado. Monte el ar tefa cto en la
ubicación deseada usando los dos tornillos de montaje de 1" de largo .
