BPC loading instructions
WARNING: Use caution when filling the BPC.
Ensure that the door handle is fully engaged, and that the door handle
latch-pin is installed before filling the BPC. The static head pressure on
the door can create a large opening force.
5.2 BPC loading
Use the following steps to load a BPC into the imPULSE tank.
Note:
Adherence to these procedures is critical to the successful
operation of the imPULSE S.U.M. For larger systems (1,000–5,000 L),
we recommend using two operators to load the BPC into the outer
support container. Larger systems also require access to a ladder or
other elevated platform.
5.2.1 Preparing to load
1. Prior to installing the BPC, ensure that the motor drive is in the
“down” position (Figure 5.1). If the motor drive carriage is in the
“up” position: remove any items from the door area and ensure the
door is locked and latched. Touch the top of the
Agitation
module
on the Touchscreen, and then touch
Home position
followed by
Bottom dead centre
.

2. Remove the motor drive safety guard (Figure 5.2). Apply pressure
with your thumb to the secondary safety latch to open the shaft
engagement door (Figures 5.3 and 5.4).
3. If your system has a vessel door (250 L or larger), open it at this
point (Figure 5.5).
