ISQ 7000 Hardware Manual

Thermo Scientific

Electron Multiplier Plate

To replace the electron multiplier plate

1. Shut down your system by following the steps in 

“Shutting Down the ISQ 7000 System” 

on 

page 149

.

2. Use a T20 Torxhead screwdriver to loosen the top cover panel screw from the interior 

front panel. Then slide the top cover panel toward the back of the instrument and lift it 
off.

3. Disconnect the electrometer board cable and large feedthrough cable. Each one is labeled.

Note  

You do not have to remove the ion source cartridge or the column. However, you 

must vent the instrument.
