iCAP Qnova Series ICP-MS Pre-Installation Requirements Guide (P/N BRE0006946, Revision A)

Thermo Scientific

Gas Supply iCAP TQ/TQs ICP-MS

The iCAP Qnova Series instruments require argon gas to generate the
inductively coupled plasma and for controlling internal functions with
the aid of pneumatics. Additional gases might be required depending on
the type of analysis planned.

The iCAP Qnova Series instruments use approximately 16 L/min (max.
24 L/min) of argon. It is essential that the gases be delivered with the
necessary pressure and purity. In case of questions, contact your certified
Thermo Fisher Scientific service representative.

Gas Supply Connections

shows the location of the gas connections at the left hand side

of the instrument.

NOTICE

All gas flow rates are given relate to standard conditions.

CAUTION

When operating the instrument with hazardous gas, an external
warning sensor must be installed in the vicinity of the instrument.
