iCAP Qnova Series ICP-MS Pre-Installation Requirements Guide (P/N BRE0006946, Revision B)

Thermo Scientific

Consider suitable space between the outputs of the fume extraction lines
and the inputs on the instrument. Consider the total height of the
system when it is located on the table.

Floor Space for the System

shows an example of the typical required floor space for the

system. All values are given in millimeter.

Placing the Fore Vacuum Pump

The iCAP Qnova Series instrument is delivered with a fore vacuum
pump (Sogevac™ SV40BI for iCAP RQ ICP-MS and iCAP TQ
ICP-MS and ECODRY 65 plus respectively for iCAP TQs ICP-MS), a
data cable and a grounding cable for connecting the instrument to the
fore vacuum pump, a power cable for connecting the pump to the
mains, and an exhaust hose for connecting the fore vacuum pump to the
exhaust system (instrument). A noise reduction cover and a drip pan
(Sogevac SV40BI only) for the fore vacuum pump are available as
options.
