Maintaining Components Outside the Vacuum Manifold

Figure 68.

Removing the Transfer Line

Disconnect the transfer line cable from the left side of the GC.

b. Loosen the transfer line gas fitting.

Remove the three screws holding the transfer line in place.

d. Remove the transfer line.

6. Install the new transfer line (PN 119640-1050).

Insert the new transfer line.

b. Reattach the screws that hold the transfer line in place.

Tighten the transfer line gas fitting.

d. Reconnect the transfer line cable to the left side of the GC.

7. Reattach the right, top, and front covers of the DSQ II.

8. Restart the GC.

9. Restart the DSQ II.

10. Once the DSQ II has pumped down and is operational, check for vacuum leaks by

reading the convectron gauge and ion gauge pressures and running an automatic tune.
