Disconnecting a Suppressor from an Internal Power
Supply

If you want to use the Dionex RFC to control the suppressor, but the system
currently includes a suppressor controlled by an internal power supply, follow the
instructions in this section to disconnect the suppressor from the internal power
supply. See Section D.1 for DX-320, DX-500, or DX-600 systems or Section D.2
for DX-120 systems. After disconnecting the existing power source, continue
installing the Dionex RFC as described in Appendix B.

Disconnecting the Suppressor from a DX-320, DX-500, or
DX-600 System

1. Open the door of the detector or combination pump/detector and

locate the suppressor cable connected to J3 (SRS) of the SCR card in
slot 2. (The label on the inside of the door identifies the electronics
cards.)

2. Unplug the suppressor cable from the J3 connector (see Figure 102).

3. Locate the suppressor in the chromatography compartment.
