Dionex Reagent-Free Controller

3. Set the

Download/Operation

button on the Dionex RFC rear panel (see

Figure 4) to the

Download

(in) position.

4. Turn on the Dionex RFC power.

5. Insert the diskette in the computer’s drive. Display the diskette

contents, using My Computer or Windows

Explorer and

double-click the RFC icon

. A dialog box appears with a list of

serial ports.

6. Select the computer serial port and click

. A Moduleware

download dialog box appears.

7. Click

to start the download.

When complete, the Dionex RFC screen displays the new
Moduleware version number.

8. Set the

Download/Operation

button on the Dionex RFC rear panel to

the

Operation

(out) position.

6.2

Calibrating the Dionex RFC

When to Calibrate

Calibration is done at the factory before shipping. Thereafter, the Dionex
RFC should be calibrated if a new electronics board is added or before a
validation procedure.

How to Calibrate

1. Press the





button to display the calibration screen (see

Figure 42).

2. Press



to select

YES

3. Press

ENTER

The message “Calibration in Progress” is displayed. When calibration
is complete, the display returns to the default status screen.
