SeqStudio

Data Collection Software generates an electropherogram (intensity plot)

for each dye that is based on the migration of DNA fragments through the capillaries

during a run.
The format of the sample data files is determined by the type of experiment that is

specified at the time of plate setup.

• Sequencing experiments use basecalling (the algorithms and settings required to

determine the fragment base sequences) and generate an

AB1

file.

• Fragment/HID analysis experiments use sizecalling (the algorithms and settings

required to determine the fragment sizes) and generate an

FSA

file.

The

AB1

and

FSA

file formats can be analyzed by secondary analysis software.
