Connecting the Ethernet Cables
To connect the Ethernet communication cable to an Agilent LC stack
1. Connect one Ethernet cable from the LAN interface port (
) to the Ethernet
switch.

2. Connect the second Ethernet cable from the Ethernet switch to the Ethernet network
card in the data system computer that is dedicated to the LC/MS system (typically
network interface card number 3).
CAUTION
Safety and EMC regulations require the use of Category 5 shielded Ethernet
communication cables, maximum 3 m (10 ft) long.
