Accessing, Disassembling, and Reassembling the LDA
To replace the primary piston seals or to clean the components of the LDA, you must detach
the LDA from the pump, and then disassemble the LDA.
To remove the LDA from the pump, disassemble the LDA, and return the pump to operating
condition, follow these steps:

Removing the LDA from the Pump
Remove the LDA to access the piston seals, which you replace during regularly scheduled
preventive maintenance.
Removing the LDA requires the following tools.
CAUTION
When working with the wetted components of the Accela pump, wear gloves.
Tool
Use
1/4 in. open-end wrench
To disconnect the high-pressure lines
4 mm hex wrench
To loosen the clamping screws
To loosen the compression lid set screw
4 mm hex ball driver
To loosen the LDA attachment screws
To loosen the fastening screws that secure the holding
hooks to the LDA
2.5 mm hex ball driver
To remove the Z-arm cover
