Chapter 4

User Maintenance

LCQ Deca XP Plus performance depends on the maintenance of all parts of
the instrument. It is your responsibility to maintain your system properly
by performing the system maintenance procedures on a regular basis.

This chapter describes routine API source maintenance procedures that must
be performed to ensure optimum performance of the instrument. Most of the
procedures involve cleaning. Procedures are also presented for replacing the
API sample tube and the ion transfer capillary

Routine and infrequent MS detector maintenance procedures are listed in
Table 4-1.
