4.7.6 Bake Element Components – Removal & Replacement
(Large Oven)
This procedure is for the large oven of 48-inch ranges, as well as for
the oven of 30-inch and 36-inch ranges.
Bake element components are accessible from the front of the range.
Be sure to check QuickFinder for relevant information, documentation,
and correct part numbers when replacing any of these components.
Sharp Components
Wear gloves when handling bake element components, as they may
have sharp edges

2. Remove oven doors (see

3. Remove all the oven racks.

4. Remove the kick panel (see Figure 171 and

5. Using a flashlight, and wearing gloves, reach through the gap
under the oven, and detach the two wire connectors behind the
bake element tray (see Figure 171 and Figure 172).
NOTE:
The wire connectors may be a bit tight to remove.
