BASIC OPERATIONS
BASIC PLAYBACK
TO PLAY A DISC
1. Press the ON/OFF button on the machine to turn
on the unit.
2. Press the FUNCTION button on the machine or
the remote control until DVD appears on the LED
of your Singing Machine.

2. When you playback the DVD which a title menu is
recorded, it may appear on the screen. In this
case, refer to “

3. For Kodak picture CD disc, slide show will begin if
play button is being pressed.
Keep your fingers away from the disc tray
as it is closing. Neglecting to do so may
cause serious personal injury.
1. Press the STOP button to stop the disc from
playing. A blue screen with The Singing Machine
logo will appear on your TV screen. “Press play
key to continue” picture will appear on the TV
screen.

1. Press STANDBY/ON button on remote or switch
function to AUX or TAPE.
2. Wait for disc to stop spinning.
3. Press DVD Door Open button to access the CD,
DVD etc.
4. Remove the disc from the compartment.
5. Press the CLOSE point (on the door) again to
close the compartment.
For DVD disc: Pressing PRE
or NEXT
button can go to the next or previous chapter on
the disc.

For CDG/CD/MP3 disc: Pressing NEXT
or
PRE
button will enable you to go to the next or
previous track on the disc. For Kodak picture CD
disc: Next or Previous file will be shown if
NEXT/PRE button is pressed.
1. When PRE
button is pressed once during
normal playback of DVD, the chapter being
played will be played from the beginning.
2. Input the index of the chapter or track by pressing
the NUMBER buttons during the normal
playback, the playback will go to that chapter or
track directly.
1. During normal playback of the DVD, CD or MP3,
press FWD button to fast forward and press REV
to fast reverse.
2. Each time you press either button it will change
the playback speed. The following sequence will
appear on screen.

The rate and direction of playback is indicated on
the display.
3. Press PLAY button to return to normal playback.
1. This function is not available for CDG and Kodak
picture CD discs.
2. The Singing Machine omits the subtitle and mutes
sound during fast forward or fast reverse mode.
3. The speed of the fast forward or fast reverse may
differ depending on the disc.
1. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button during playback.
2. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button again to resume
playback.
1. This function is available for all discs.
2. The sound is muted during this mode.
Pressing VOL UP or VOL DN button on the remote
control or turning the volume control on the unit can
adjust the volume of the audio output.

Press the DVD Door Open button on the unit to
open disc compartment.
Place a disc into the compartment and close the
disc door.
Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to start playing the
disc.
For some discs, playback will start from the first
chapter or track of the disc automatically.
TITLE
Press PLAY/PAUSE to resume playback. The
playback starts from where the STOP button is
pressed.
1. Press STOP button again after the disc stops
playing will clear the location index stored in
memory.
DVD - Playback starts from the beginning of the
current title.
CDG/CD - Playback starts from the beginning of
the disc.
2. For MP3 and Kodak picture CD discs, no location
index stored in memory if you press STOP button.

Make sure the Singing Machine is connected to the components properly and the power of the Singing Machine
and the other components are on.
