2 SAFETY RULES 

 

2-1. Safety rules 

 

 

1. Before using this unit: 

* Read the operator’s manual carefully. 

* Check that the cutting equipment is correctly assembled and adjusted. 

* Start the unit and check the carburetor adjustment. 

* Wear appropriate clothing and protective equipment (safety helmet, protective goggles, safety shoes, gloves, earplugs, etc). 

* Always wear gloves if you have to handle the blade. 

 

2-2. Notes when using the unit 

1. Check carefully the work site in advance and confirm that there are not any dangerous objects. 

2. Never use the machine on an unstable footing. 

3. During operation, be sure to keep at least 15 metres away from obstacles (electric wire, etc), bystanders or animals. 

4. Never use the machine for purposes other than hedge trimming. 

5. During operation, use the shoulder strap. Keep the machine on your right side, holding the front handle with your left hand and the rear grip 

with your right hand. Keep a stable operation position with the legs spread. 

6. During operation, never hit the machine against hard obstacles such stone and metal. 

7. Never touch the blade while it is moving.     

8. Be sure to stop the engine and protect the blade with the blade cover when moving or storing the machine. 

9. Before storing the machine, perform full cleaning and maintenance. 

10. Never store the machine upright, it may fall unexpectedly, causing an injury.
