Server Health

DSM Installation and Configuration Guide

Resets the IP address to the default 192.168.10.10. Username is reset to default (UserID: ADMIN Password:
ADMIN).

Deletes the IPMI configuration

Returns the to IPMI to the factory default setting:

ip=192.168.10.10

mask=255.255.0.0

gateway=0.0.0.0

Deletes all users except for ADMIN

Changes the ADMIN password to ADMIN

Disables DHCP

Sets the IPMI to a dedicated non-share port

Is optimized for security while the IPMI management console factory reset is not

To reset the firmware:

1. Login to CLI.

2. At the dsm prompt, type:

0001:dsm$ ipmi

3. At the ipmi prompt, type:

0002:reset factorydefault

4. When the warning message displays, type:

yes

Do you want to load IPMI factory default? It takes about 100 seconds to load. Warning: IPMI

IP address will reset to default 192.168.10.10 and IPMI users will get deleted. (yes|no)

SUCCESS: Reset to factory default with IP=192.168.10.10 and default username and password

5. After resetting the factory default settings, you must restore the IPMI network settings. See
