Protect the instrument from EMI (Electro Magnetic Interference) from induction
heaters and microwave ovens and Electro Static Discharge Readings may be affec-
ted if the unit is operated within radio frequency electromagnetic fi eld strength of
approximately 3 volts per meter. But the performance of the instrument will not be
permanently affected.
3. Getting started
•
Open the battery compartment.
•
The battery compartment is located inside of the handle. Slide down the
battery compartment lid.
•
Connect a new battery 9 V, polarity as indicated.
•
Insert the battery back into the battery compartment. Please pay attention to
the connection wires.
•
Close the battery compartment again. The cover is properly inserted in the
housing, as soon as a click is heard.
•
The device is ready for use.
4. Settings:
•
Press the blue measuring button on the handle, to activate the device.
•
All segments will be displayed briefl y.
•
The display light will be automatically activated (default). The symbol
appears on the display.
•
Press and hold the measuring button and the button at the same time,
to deactivate or activate the display light. The symbol will disappear or
appear.
•
The laser will be automatically activated (default). The symbol appears on
the display.
•
Press the button to deactivate or activate the laser. The symbol will
disappear or appear.
•
Press the button, to change between °C (default) or °F as temperature
unit.
•
Press the button again, to change again between °F (default) or °C as
temperature unit.
•
Press the
SEL
button to toggle between the highest and lowest value.
5. Measuring procedure
•
Press the blue measuring button.
•
The measured temperature and the highest or lowest values (MAX/MIN)
appear.
•
SCAN will be fl ashing on the display while you hold the measuring button and
the measured temperature, as well as the highest or lowest value, will be
permanently updated. The Circle-Beam laser allows you to target the center
of the area to be measured.
