• Never use a combination of old and new batteries
together, nor batteries of different types. Wear chemi-
cal-resistant protective gloves and safety glasses when
handling leaking batteries.

6. Getting started
• Place the duck in the water or press any button.
• The temperature appears on the display.
• The device will turn off automatically after approx. 30
minutes.

7. Temperature alarm
• Press and hold the
SET
button for 2 seconds. 39 °C
(default) appears on the display and HOT flashes. You
can choose the upper temperature limit (37 °C, 38 °C,
39 °C or 40 °C) with the
+
button.
• Confirm the setting with the
SET
button.
• The lower temperature limit is factory set to 30 °C.
• If the water temperature rises above the set upper tem-
perature limit, HOT appears on the display and the LED
signal light flashes red.
• If the water temperature drops below 30 °C, COOL
appears on the display and the LED signal light flashes
green.
• The LED signal light continues to flash until the mea-
sured temperature is within the alarm limits again.
8. Temperature unit setting
• Press the
°C/°F
button and you can change between
Celsius (°C) or Fahrenheit (°F) as temperature unit.
9. Care and maintenance
• Clean the device with a soft damp cloth. Do not use
solvents or scouring agents.
• Remove the batteries if the device will not be used for
an extended period of time.
9.1 Battery replacement
• Change the batteries when the display becomes weak.
