Figure 7-11

1.

Place the steering unit service fixture (11) securely in 
a vise.

2.

Place steering unit (10) into the service fixture (11), 
input shaft down.

3.

Secure the steering unit to the service fixture using 
four M6 x 16 mm screws (12) and M6 lock washers 
(13).

Disassembly

See Figures 7-12 through 7-20.

CAUTION

NOTES

• Before attempting repairs or disassembly of any 

hydraulic components, thoroughly clean the 
components and work area. A clean work area is 
essential to satisfactory operation of hydraulic 
components.

• Utilize steering unit service fixture for disassembly. 

(See “Steering Unit Service Fixture” on page 7-7.)
