These discrepancies could come in the form of an incorrect procedure, incorrectly identified terrain,
obstacles, fixes, or any other displayed item used for navigation or communication in the air or on the

Anomalies in Greenland Terrain Data
DESCRIPTION
Garmin has confirmed anomalies in the current Terrain Database 10T1 and all prior
versions of the Terrain Database in the vicinity of the below listed airports. These
anomalies may cause nuisance TAWS/Terrain alerts and affect other functionality such
as Synthetic Vision Technology (SVT) and Electronic Stability Protection (ESP). For
details on how avionics functions may be affected by this issue, see Service Advisory
1107 (accessible via the Service Alerts link at
www.garmin.com
).

PILOT ACTION
Pilots should utilize extra caution and awareness of the surrounding terrain when flying
within 30nm of the affected airports listed above. Pilots may consider inhibiting
TAWS/Terrain alerts when flying approaches into the affected airports.
RESOLUTION
Garmin plans to resolve this issue in the 2011 Terrain Database update.
