Areas of poor quality terrain data quality in Greenland may adversely effect the TAWS/Terrain Alerting
and SVT (Synthetic Vision Technology) functions.
DESCRIPTION
This service letter transmits Garmin Service Advisory No. 1107 and Garmin Terrain Data Alert - Anomalies
in Greenland Terrain Data, which informs pilots to use extra caution and awareness of the surrounding
terrain when flying within 30 nautical miles of the following airports:
BGCO (Nerlerit Inaat, Greenland)
BGQQ (Qaanaaq, Greenland)
BGSF (Kangerlussuaq, Greenland)
BGSS (Sisimiut, Greenland)
BGUQ (Uummannaq, Greenland)
NOTE: A future database release for the G1000 System will correct this issue.
